Renewable Power Systems has designed and installed more than 50 solar electric systems for residential buildings and properties in the Capital district. Many of our projects are installed on roofs, but we also have experience installing ground-mounted and pole-mounted solar panel arrays for our residential customers.
In addition to working with you in order to determine the appropriate type and size of solar electric system for your house and your budget, Renewable Power Systems - a NYSERDA eligible installer - will coordinate with NY State to process the rebates you'll be eligible for under NYSERDA's incentive program. That means we'll help you save big dollars on your solar installation.
In order to qualify for the NYSERDA incentive program, residential solar systems must be connected to the grid. A system connected to the grid is known as "grid-tied" or "grid-connected". A grid-tied system allows you to send extra electricity produced by your system to the utility. This is known as "net-metering". Net-metering can spin your electric meter backwards whenever your solar system is producing more electricity than the residence is consuming. The energy you send to the utility is credited to your account, lowering your monthly utility bill. As you can imagine, this is our customer's favorite part about solar energy!

note: NYSERDA incentives can only be paid directly to NYSERDA eligible installers, and not directly to consumers.
